Dog Grooming

5 Star Excellence award from Shopper Approved for collecting at least 100 5 star reviews

Grooming to be successful, the dog must accept it. This may mean working with your new dog or puppy to get him to stand (or lie) still while being attended to. That is half the battle. Start grooming your new dog as soon as possible—the more often, the better. Your careful attentions to him not only assure him that he is important and cared for but also establish you as the pack leader as you gently move him about and ask him to lift his feet. Total acceptance may not come all at once, and older dogs may be more resistant to being handled. Some dogs never enjoy being handled. It’s very important not to lose your temper during the process, especially with a puppy, or you will reinforce the impression that dog grooming is a terrifying experience. If your puppy is quite young (and small), in the beginning it doesn’t hurt to hold him in your arms while you are doing the grooming. Later you can put him up on the grooming table. Sometimes it’s easier for puppies to get used to one thing at a time. In this category we are providing some of the best dog grooming products.
