The left joint can go on the outside of the left ankle or the inside of the right ankle. The right joint can go on the outside of the right ankle or the inside of the left ankle. If the patient weighs less than 50 pounds, use the left joint on the outside of the left ankle and the right joint on the outside of the right ankle. In this case, Ultraflex suggests using a ROM joint item AFOP-ROM for the inside of the brace.
