Ultraflex USS Pediatric AFO Joint is helpful for making custom ankle braces. These braces are permanent and aren't meant to stretch, and they're made for kids and teenagers who weigh up to 110 pounds. They help with walking problems, weak muscles, and unstable joints, making it easier to move around. If the patient weighs more than 50 pounds, use two joints for each ankle. The left joint can go on the outside of the left ankle or the inside of the right ankle. The right joint can go on the outside of the right ankle or the inside of the left ankle. If the patient weighs less than 50 pounds, use the left joint on the outside of the left ankle and the right joint on the outside of the right ankle. In this case, Ultraflex suggests using a ROM joint item AFOP-ROM for the inside of the brace.
